ID Clinic

ID clinics provide expert care for patients with complex or severe infections. Specialists evaluate symptoms, review lab results, and recommend targeted treatments such as antibiotics, antivirals, or antifungals. They manage conditions like HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, hepatitis, sepsis, pneumonia, and postoperative infections.

These clinics also oversee infection-control practices, monitor antimicrobial resistance, and guide the proper use of antibiotics (antimicrobial stewardship). In hospitals, ID clinics collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate diagnosis, prevent outbreaks, and provide vaccination, counseling, and follow-up care.
